Nice! I hope they didn't take advantage of a budding photographer like your self and paid you considerable amounts.

If you wanted a similar effect for a FRACTION of the cost you could just set up two cameras with 8mm lenses and stitch them if you were really wanting that wide effect. I have my doubts that that photo is from that lens too, as they typically look more like this where the lens actually see's behind it's self.

Totally useless for mountain bike photography. It was originally designed for 360 panorama views of the artic, so sports photography isn't the best place for it.

Non, everything is done by hand.

To be honest, I haven't been up in over half a year. But with winter drawing in, it's the plan to go have a nosey up there.

How much time do you actually spend on the saddle when you are riding some aggressive downhill course? Maybe the finish line and the car park? It's there as a token gesture really...

That is a ridiculous suggestion... The risk of it catching fire isn't really the issue, it's more just the effort involved in doing that would not be worth it. You would be far better to just rough up the boards a bit with a chain saw or any number of other methods. But taking fire to a wooden ramp in the woods would not be my first idea.

To be honest, I think the gold highlights somewhat ruin it. If they are going to go all out on the red thing, they should quite literally go, all out.

Regardless, it still looks pretty groovy, if a bit OTT for me.
