Hey, we have to go for a ride together when you are in BC. My brother lives in Kelowna and I bike there once in a while. Watched a great MTB video yesterday, mostly filmed in Scotland. It's called Home. Shot all over Scotland and Wales. Good movie.

Been there a few times, mostly touring by motorbike and hiking in the highlands. Great place!

my trail is just a kilometer from my house max. Need to get through a field though so I am trying to expand it to the road.
That cabin was built by my dad when he was young, and it's small (see the rake for proportions lol)

yeh, trail clearing pretty much sucks =\ im wanting te build a full on dh trail at some point, but the hills here are either too steep or not steep enough! i have a tendancy to start loads of projects without finishing others, so ill try not to get too carried away with it really

bunkey0207 wrote
Jan 6, 2009 at 13:50
aye. i was gna head up before about 8 30, i strapped on a head torch, but as soon as i got into the woods i pussied out of it! Il take my gear into school tmz so i can just stop at the trail when ive got off the bus! will try n stay out till about 5 fo a good hour and a half worth of work. il get those slats nailed in aswell! im in serious need of some large rocks to fill out the body of this step up after the ladder drop, but i cant find any =\ i think il have some help with it this weekend though, so if i can get at least something finished, then il upload some decent video with the proper camera and not just my phone! hoping to get the first bem of the roadgap switchbacks done tmz, so thatl be a big step forward!

if its steep enough then surely the surface doesnt matter too much? i dno, i quite like loose gravelly bits but that might just be me? i have a problem of finding decent dirt, i have to dig through nearly a foot of useless moss and topsoil, and the theres about a toot of mildly acceptable dirt, then just rock (but in some places theres another foot of clay before the rock Smile). ive updated my blog with a short video clip btw!

bunkey0207 wrote
Jan 1, 2009 at 12:28
so, how do you make your actual riding surface? do u clear then pile dirt ontop? or dig down n compact? or what?
